Katrina Sánchez Standfield is an interdisciplinary Panamanian-American artist living and working in Charlotte, NC. With a deep interest in texture and color Kat is inspired by both the history of textiles and its intrinsic connection to humanity. She creates works that explore social and environmental relationships, often pairing traditional methods with contemporary issues. Kat also experiments with new materials and is captivated by creating art that elicits a multi-sensory experience. Her numerous group exhibitions include Growth at C3 Lab Gallery, The Art Outside at Max I. Jackson Gallery at Queens University of Charlotte and the June/July Resident Artist Showcase at Goodyear Arts.
